"She rocks!"
These were the words shouted by a very enthusiastic Hillary Clinton supporter yesterday in Unity, NH to mark the celebrated joint appearance of Clinton and Barack Obama.
Obama got it:
"She rocks. She rocks. That's the point I'm trying to make."
Clinton, Obama said, is a shining example - including to his own two young daughters - that there is no barrier to female accomplishment.
"They can take it for granted that women can do anything that the boys can do, and do it better - and do it in heels," he said.
An older Clinton supporter best summed-up the feeling of the moment, some personal wisdom and the hope for a "Dream Ticket":
"It takes the two of them together to win. You have to swallow your pride. This is not the time for a split in the party," said Lucille Richards, 77, of nearby Claremont, N.H. "United we stand; divided we fall."
I agree. United: Unbeatable. Period.
