Clinton Accepts Puerto Rico Win; Speaks To Superdelegates:
[snip]
...“So, when the voting concludes on Tuesday, neither Sen. Obama nor I will have the number of delegates to be the nominee. I will lead the popular vote, he will maintain a slight lead in the delegate count. The decision will fall on the shoulders of those leaders in our party, empowered by the rules, to vote at the Democratic convention."
Speaking directly to superdelegates, Clinton said, "I do not envy the decision you must make. But the decision has to be made. And in the final assessment, I ask you to consider these questions. Which candidate best represents the will of the people who voted?" Clinton said. "Which candidate can best lead us to victory in November, and which candidate is best able to lead our nation as our president in the face of unprecedented challenges at home and abroad?"

Want A Free Delegate? The DNC Is Giving Them Away!
Don’t worry that you weren’t on the ballot as a candidate or anything. It doesn’t matter! Get a couple of them! They’re small!
Since the DNC is giving away delegates to people who chose not to be on the Michigan Primary ballot - I would like to say that:
A. As in years past, this year I chose not to be on the Michigan Democratic Primary ballot. and
B. I would like a Michigan delegate in Denver. I am not greedy. I only want one unearned delegate - not four like Obama. We can go to cocktail parties and vote platform planks like: 'Whose [sic] better- Obama or Jesus?' or 'Should Mystery Date become the official Democratic Party board game?'
Does anyone else who chose not to be on the Michigan Ballot want one, too? I mean I was a Democrat between March of 1981 and June of 2008 - that should get me at least one unearned delegate. Contact the DNC! Hurry! Before they're all out of delegates! DNC’s phone number is 1-202-863-8000.
Primaries End Tuesday! Superdelegates Need To Endorse.
We asked superdelegates to hold back any decision to endorse until after all the primaries were complete. Tuesday is the end of the primary season: every state, Guam and Puerto Rico will have had their say.
After it's all over, Hillary will have won the popular vote. Over 17 million people have said "We want Hillary Clinton as our party's nominee." She has experience, knowledge, and "the edge" we need now for the troubled times we face:
- on the economy
- on the housing foreclosure crisis
- on the energy crisis
- on health care
- in Iraq (23 flag officers have endorsed her)
The people have spoken. Now it's time for the superdelegates to speak. Contact them. Let them know the voters want experience, knowledge and real change! We want Hillary Clinton as our nominee.
At a loss for words? Not to worry.
I've included a draft letter: Download may_2008_sample_letter_to_sds.pdf. Use it as-is, or cut-n-paste and personalize it with your own facts. Then paste it into the SD contact form you'll see once you've decided which SDs you want to lobby (Lobby Superdelegates widget, below).
