Over at the White House Project, Marie Wilson & Co. have another great idea: how about a woman to moderate MTP?
I think it's a terrific idea. Their blog, "Change Everything" asks readers for names - which will be forwarded to NBC.
Here are the top three (so far):
Gwen Ifill
Judy Woodruff
Cokie Roberts
There are other women who spring to mind:
Christiane Amanpour
Lara Logan
Martha Raddatz
Diane Sawyer
Maria Shriver
This is just my back-of-the-napkin list. What's yours?
Women as guests or moderators on Sunday's talk shows is nothing to brag about (although, according to the latest study, things have improved since 2001).
If we can nominate an African American to head a major political party, why can't we put a woman at the helm of MTP? It's a more than reasonable idea. Maybe now is the time for another great accomplishment.
So, what do you think? Who would you nominate to serve as MTP's new moderator? TWHP wants to know and so do I. Share your suggestions here, too!
